ExtraCareful's Soundtrack Pick of the Week

All right, conclusions will be coming up shortly. But before that...

Authentic Symphony (Mashiro-iro Symphony: The Color of Lovers OP)
Choucho

This series plays it safe for everything...even the music

It was either gonna be this or Core Pride this week, so I was going to end up pleasing MorningLescue anyways. However, due to the rather rude saxophone interjections in Core Pride, I decided to use this one instead.

It's rare that an OP straight from the oven will get picked; in fact, I try not to pick songs from a series until a while after it has ended. However, I felt relatively safe picking this. Why? For the following 5 reasons:

1. Everybody likes high-powered, high-pitched synth.
2. Everybody likes accented violin quarter notes.
3. Everybody (well, I do at least) likes Choucho. Because she has a great, natural voice.
4. Everyone was too busy staring at the girls holding the pink hearts during the OP and drooling over Sakuno (the little sister)
5. Everybody likes accented violin quarter notes.

Well, that essentially sums this song up. But really, I like this song for both its vocals and great use of synth + strings. People seem to forget that guitars are not the only heartthrob-inducing instruments on the planet. Great for getting your mood up. It's great how Choucho has gotten roped into doing interesting songs like this and Kawaru Mirai, and I hope she does more fantastic OPs in the future.
