Sekai wa Odoru yo, Kimi to (Ikoku Meiro no Croisee OP)
Youmou to Ohana
It look so good but the animu so bad
Although the series was a disappointment, the music collection for Ikoku is still going straight into my foobar2k as soon as BakaBT definitively organizes it all or just gives up on it and I go weeping to the JPz collection (no offense meant, I just trust the rabid collectors at BakaBT more to gather all the available music CDs up thoroughly...)
Anyways, I really really like this swing-involved, simple tune. The song doesn't muck around with the stereo and relies heavily on a "Western" mood with the fiddle/woodwind combo, while also dialing it back with the synth. I'm pretty sure it's in a C major key (BartreTheBeast will correct me if I'm wrong), a happy singsong way to go. The word to describe this song is "casual", and it sets itself apart from all of the others in the Summer 2011 season by not trying to pump up the volume and synth it up all the goddamn time. It's very unique, and the steady swing beat + the caesurae/fermatas (first one at 1:13) give some breathing room to the piece.
Overall it's a really good and probably overlooked OP during the last season. Sit back and enjoy!
