Conclusion: The World God Only Knows II

So The World God Only Knows II has finished and I have come out of my cocoon to bring my wrath down upon this inferior adaptation. (Beware, this post is rather image-heavy.)
All right, ending VN cutscene!
.....What.
Quite honestly, I don't know what to say. I am such a die-hard fan of TWGOK but the anime just fucked it up, and did it big time. Look, if you're going to aim to complete a huge arc like Index, just for the sake of everything that's holy just do it like Index. I mean, Index is probably not even the best model to imitate for a big arc either, but it's still much better than what happened. The ending was pretty horrific for anybody who's read the manga and anticlimactic for anybody who's actually taken the time to slog through the series.
Let me rephrase that last part. I DON'T NEED TO SEE AN ENTIRE EPISODE OF YOKKYUN.
Let x = my worst nightmares. Then Yokkyun = fnInt(x, nightmares, 0, infinity).
A lot of people are clamoring for a third season/claiming that there will be a third season due to the credit scenes:
Only put the ones that were any good up (not in chronological order): Sumire, Diana, and Minami, respectively.
I doubt it. It's probably there for fanservice more likely than not. It's not like any of them become really that important except for Tsukiyo, and the way shit's flying, she probably won't do anything until TWGOK IV appears. Don't get your hopes up, especially since season 3 will be probably crappier.
Honestly, I did not think that I could be more disappointed at a sequel than what I felt after Shuffle! and Zero no Tsukaima (no comment on Shana because the whole thing sucks), but at least Zero no Tsukaima's crapfest could be taken in bite-sized arcs at a time. TWGOK's majestic detective-Keima arc cannot and the studios clearly knows that, but just screwed with the viewers anyways.
There's not much difference in my feelings between what I thought at first and what I think now. This has been a huge disappointment for me, and even as a neutral viewer this adaptation ought to come off at best as mediocre. Now I will cry myself to sleep and watch Denpa Onna/Hidan no Fanservice so I can write reviews while only mildly depressed.
Only thing stopping me from closing out of VLC halfway through episode 12. I mean it.
Oh, and also, there seems to be a cool Ano Hana wallpaper that has all the young versions of the cast in a cloudy background and Menma/Jintan at the foreground to the bottom right running towards the center. If anybody can link me that that'd be great. It's a great picture and there isn't enough Hanasaku Iroha stuff out yet so I'll have to make do with Ano Hana.
One last thing: READ D-FRAG!. It is a really really funny, extreme manga series that will actually make you laugh, not just grin, with its hard-hitting humor. Its rapid-fire pace is reminiscent of Baka to Test's. Give it a try!
This is just what happens during lunch breaks.
