ExtraCareful's Soundtrack Pick of the Week

Sorry for the hiatus...but at least now I'm starting back up again with what is personally the post I look most forward to - the Soundtrack Pick of the Week!
Ren'ai Koujou Committee (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu: Matsuri OVA OP)
Natsuko Aso
I know that Baka to Test really likes to cater to the audience, but there is seriously too much comedic Yandere going on in Season 2. Cut it out guys.
Baka to Test is one of the very few series (for me at least) that fits four conditions:
a) It doesn't suck horribly. Very important.
b) At least one of the credit songs are good. Notice how I'm emphasizing GOOD, not merely ok lol power chords sound awesome.
c) The OVA/sequel credit songs continue to be good. Much harder to pull off than it sounds.
d) It doesn't fuckin' suck horribly. Very imporant.
Although Ren'ai has the same objective as Perfect-Area Complete! (that is, to get you up and running), it does have a very unique and catchy melody of its own. I would say that due to both its pleasant complexity and the fact that that even its fillers sound much better than Perfect-Area's did, this OVA OP manages to one-up the season 1 OP - a really respectable feat. Unfortunately, the season 2 OP manages to be OK, but is mediocre relative to its predecessors, which is why I'm putting this up instead.
Natsuko Aso's voice is actually pretty darn suited to this drawn-out, energetic melody, and you can tell by the quality of this OP. The main melody (0:03~0:19) in itself is catchy enough, but anybody listening to this would be lying if they said that this was the only good part.
The reason as to why I'm drooling over this particular OP so much (and looking down on other songs sometimes for their lack of this trait) is that there's almost always a new, distinct part popping up ever 20 seconds - each of which that I can actually enjoy, not just as a build-up, but on its own. That's not true with many songs (e.g. every song eufonius makes ever), where for a lot of the time you sort of enjoy the fillers as elevator music but you're secretly thinking that it better get to the good part soon or it's going to get nasty. This is part of what distinguishes a merely good song from a great song.
Anyways, enough of my ranting. Enjoy your morning coffee with this thing.
OH and AZUSA'S NOT WINNING SAIMOE. WHY IS SHE NOT WINNING SAIMOE GUYZ.
Moe overload stuck in time.
